Mining Site Engineer

Our Mining and Geotechnical Team is looking for a Mining Site Engineer that will help provide assistance to the project lead in the preparation and implementation of design plans, technical specifications and methodologies, and project management monitoring. Responsibilities Acts as QA/QC in site and facilitates QA/QC coordination meetings to update status on given workload. Ensures that all inspections are carried out and conducted complying with the inspection and site plan. Studies the work plan submitted by the contractor and suggests any modifications. Watches and inspects the site works and assures that it is done in full accordance with the contract and technical specifications. Supervises the works on site in accordance with the contract. Inspects and tests materials prior to their use at site as per QAQC procedure. Ensures the correct implementation of the site works according to technical specifications and quality of materials. Checks and tests completed works before they are covered by the contractor, taking photos on a regular basis and also on account of defective work. Checks and ensures that the site is arranged as per the site management plan and that all measures are taken for site safety and the safety of third parties in the vicinity of the site. Ensures that health and safety measures are adopted and followed to the full extent. Prepares daily and weekly reports and suggests and instructs additional safety measures if needed. Prepares a list of critical items and closely monitors them. Maintains a filing system for all site memos and instructions, measured quantities of work and materials on site, reports and other documents and correspondence pertaining to the painting activities. Maintains a site order book to be made available for the Senior Officers to write comments or defects in site works noticed during site visits and carries out compliance at site. Provides data management support during planning and execution phases of the project life cycle. Other related tasks that may be assigned by the Project Manager. Education Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level Experience Established 5+ years’ experience in the mining and construction industry. Knowledge of the required testing and hold points during TSF construction. Focus on client service in terms of project safety. This job offer can be based either in our Makati, Quezon City or Cebu office depending on your home base / location. Applicants must have work right for the Philippines.
