Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.


Responsibilities

  1. Mentor, develop and motivate subordinates. Create a work atmosphere conducive to professional growth and development of excellent personnel at all levels. Create training and capability building process and training modules to promote project management best practices.
  2. Resolve people/functional issues in order to achieve targeted department performance and retain key talent.
  3. Periodically review the key project progression and provide feedback to PJE to keep project execution in the right direction. Keep close communication with cross-functional leaders to disclose high-level bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities, deeply engaged in action plan creation and monitor progression to results.
  4. Provide leadership for key projects (e.g. kick-off).
  5. Project execution and department productivity improvement. Proactively identify bottlenecks and constraint issues in project management, and optimize them with stakeholders.
  6. Coordinate with Senior Management to create localized processes and systems to ensure effective project management and implementation across the organization. Ensure the site processes and systems are compliant with global guidelines and procedures.
  7. Monthly department performance report and analysis, including KPI and key initiatives, providing input to and implementing operational plans.
  8. Budget and HC planning and control.
  9. Monitor adherence to policies and procedures and relevant rules and regulations.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree or above.
  2. 10 years project management experience or above, 5 years people management experience or above.
  3. Capability and experience to identify, define, and develop solutions to complex issues and problems that are not immediately evident in existing systems or processes.
  4. Cable assembly manufacturing processes knowledge.
  5. Strong ability to organize, coordinate, and facilitate cross-team communication.
  6. Willingness to travel alone often.
  7. Fluent in English and local language.
