Qualifications

• Has very good understanding of the different phases of the Software Development Lifecycle and understands the requirements needed for each phase.
• Has very good understanding of the different testing methodologies (e.g. AGILE, Waterfall, SCRUM, etc.)
• Creates and executes test cases independently or with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in terms of working with Excel and other MS Office Applications
• Logs issues and defect independently.
• Analytical thinker, passion and ability to "figure things out".
• Teaches or guides a less experienced associates regarding the existing projects and processes.
• Very good attention to details and has the ability to handle complex projects with minimal supervision.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Evaluate and test new or modified programs and software or enrollment development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines.
• Write, revise, and verify quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to attain quality of output.
• Review new or modified programs and software or enrollment development procedures, including documentation, diagram, and flow chart, to determine if program will perform according to user request and conform to guidelines.
• Write documentation to describe program evaluation, testing, and correction.
• Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.
• Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results.
• Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.
• Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
• Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.
• Plan and execute assigned configuration tasks within deadlines.
• Monitor program performance after implementation to prevent reoccurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation.
• Evaluate proposed software or software enhancement for feasibility.
• Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
• Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts.

Team-Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports one or more enterprise test efforts simultaneously with a leading Test Manager
• Participates in Discovery checkpoints with the Test Manager to stay abreBSast of project requirements
• Assists Test Manager with preliminary creation of test plans and project-specific test scenarios
• Owns internal testing activities, including configuration and environment setup, required in the joint testing environment to ensure entry criteria is met with core functionality tested
• Submits information to the Test Manager supporting that entry criteria has been satisfied
• Acts as primary owner in initial defect analysis and reporting during Joint Implementation Testing (JIT)
• Acts as primary owner in execution/validation of scenarios during the Internal System Testing, prior to client turnover for JIT
• Assists with release testing activities to ensure successful deployment
• Supports Test Manager with status meetings with the partner client and the internal project teams
• Supports or provide feedback into internal and external testing status communication via Test Manager
• Processes inbound/outbound files, deliver reports, extract data, etc.
• Supports system setup needs during go-live planning and execution
• Execute basic to average test plans and test case scenarios
• Help in basic to average configuration and enrollment updates for Annual or Off Cycle Renewal projects
• Review basic to average carrier configurations for groups, configure attributes, checks EDI destinations, configure structure updates and verify EDI Destinations exist.
• Provides additional support for Junior Associates
