You are both a strategic thinker and an execution powerhouse. You’ll lead the charge in defining and executing our outbound business development strategy, focusing specifically on growth within the SMB accounting sector (tax, bookkeeping, payroll services). You’ll also be accountable for building and managing a high-performing SDR and closing team to support StartVirtual’s growth trajectory from $3M to $15M in annual revenue. Your three primary responsibilities/objectives will be: Cold Outreach & Sales Strategy —Develop, implement, and optimize a data-driven cold outreach strategy using email, phone, and other outbound methods to acquire new SMB clients, specifically for our core financial service offerings: bookkeeping, tax, and back office admin services . This includes building outbound campaigns tailored to niche segments within the accounting and financial services space, and defining the forecasting models and KPIs necessary to keep the company on track to achieve aggressive new client acquisition and revenue targets. Team Development & Management —Recruit, train, and manage a high-performance Sales Development Representative (SDR) and Closer team. Establish clear roles, performance metrics, compensation structures, and career paths to drive productivity and retention. Provide ongoing coaching and leadership to ensure alignment with company goals and a high-converting outbound sales engine. Revenue Growth Execution —Own and execute the strategic roadmap for business development to drive company revenue from $3M to $15M+ annually . This includes identifying market opportunities, setting quarterly goals, owning pipeline performance, and ensuring that all outbound business development efforts are directly contributing to sustainable growth and expansion into new customer segments.
