Overview Yondu, Inc. Taguig, National Capital Region, Philippines. The UI/UX Designer collaborates with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience. Executes all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering. Conceptualizes original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks. Provides user experience and design guidance to internal teams and third-party design teams. Mentors junior team members. Other job-related activities may be assigned from time to time. Responsibilities Creates wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas. Presents and defends designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders. Plans and conducts user research, user testing, and evaluates user feedback. Ensures that approved prototypes are followed by implementing fidelity checks during and/or after development. Promotes design usability guidelines, best practices, and standards. Mentors junior team members regarding UI/UX design. Works with internal and external stakeholders to articulate design decisions and elicit feedback. Owns design for several features and mid-sized projects. Creates designs based on user research and experience analysis using standard techniques and tools. Tests the usability and accessibility of components and alternative designs. Contributes to influencing user-oriented product KPIs (e.g., user adoption, user retention). Qualifications Education: At least a bachelor’s degree in Graphics Design, IT, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related field. Training/certificates in UX-related programs are a plus. Related Work Experience: At least 3 years in UI/UX design in software development. Fluency in UX process, practices, and deliverables; knowledge of industry standards (e.g., Certified Usability Analyst). Strong portfolio showing Web Application Designs (40%), Mobile App Designs (40%), Static Website Designs (20%). Excellent visual and interaction design skills; ability to translate requirements into interaction flows and artifacts. Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, Marvel, InVision, Balsamiq, Axure. Understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and prototyping capabilities.
