Working Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM US Central Time. Some paid work time over the

standard 40 hours per week is required depending on workload.

Job Overview:

The client is seeking a hands-on Finance Controller to lead accounting and finance operations across their group of companies. Most responsibilities (≈85%) focus on the company's primary U.S. business, with limited oversight of smaller entities. This role is ideal for someone who can manage day-to-day details while driving process and system improvements as we scale.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage month-end close for multiple entities (2 in NetSuite, 1 in QuickBooks).
  • Prepare and file multi-state sales taxes (TX, GA, FL, LA).Compute sales commissions and ensure accuracy/timeliness.
  • Process payroll bi-monthly.Issue timely financial statements and management reports.
  • Lead cashflow planning, forecasting, and reporting to leadership.
  • Supervise AR/AP (1 AR and 1 AP clerk).Maintain reconciliations (bank, credit card, accruals, deposits).
  • Participate in leadership meetings and maintain company scorecard metrics.
  • Oversee compliance filings (property tax renditions, US income tax coordination).
  • Support lender and bank communications.
  • Drive process improvement in NetSuite, especially around landed cost postings andreconciliations.
  • Solid Controller/Accounting Manager experience (5+ years).
  • Proficiency in NetSuite (hands-on, not just end-user).
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and multi-state sales/use tax.
  • Experience supervising accounting staff.
  • Hands-on reconciliation and close process expertise.
  • Comfort managing multiple entities.

  • QuickBooks familiarity.
  • Experience with import/landed cost accounting.
  • Advanced Excel for analysis and reporting.
  • Exposure to international compliance (Hong Kong or similar).
