Responsibilities
  • Perform month end closing activities, including preparation of medium to high complexity journals and flux/variance analysis based on the financial close calendar.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of underlying financial data for general ledger accounts and maintain proper supporting documentation/calculations.
  • Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations for accounts with medium to high complexity and ensure all reconciling items are cleared timely; ensure balances are accurate with supporting schedules.
  • Coordinate with other finance teams (AP, AR, Procurement) and/or other departments to resolve reconciling items.
  • Coordinate with external banks, vendors, and other relevant teams to gather information needed to perform month end close.
  • Execute processes and tasks in compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP and local statutory requirements.
  • Provide support in finance-wide projects, including process automations and system enhancements; conduct Root Cause Analysis for errors and propose solutions.
  • Work with finance teams to understand end-to-end processes for process improvement and system enhancements; analyze trends, perform variance analysis, and assist in cost optimization.
  • Prepare required reports for management and other departments and perform additional accounting and ad hoc tasks as needed.
  • Adhere to internal control policies and procedures; execute internal controls for accounts handled per company policies.
  • Create and maintain accounting SOPs aligned with company policies; collaborate with cross-geography teams to understand control risks and financial risks/opportunities.
  • Prepare reports, reconciliations, and schedules required for audits; coordinate with teams, departments, vendors, and leaders for audit information.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
  • Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions (intermediate level).
  • Strong knowledge of General Accounting best practices and Financial Analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of International Accounting Standards.
  • International exposure to different local GAAP (PH, US, MX, CO, IN, TW, PN, UK, CA, GR, IR).
  • Experience designing and implementing a project that improved process efficiency or controls.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Finance & Accounting or Audit (Internal/External).
