Systems Operations Senior Specialist Nasdaq Taguig, National Capital Region, Philippines What We Offer This is a permanent full‑time role based in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig following a hybrid work model setup (at least 2 in‑office days per week). You will work in an autonomous but fast‑paced environment where results are recognized and growth opportunities are abundant. What You Will Do Daily Technical Operations including application management and support for all Nasdaq‑provided services. This includes 24/7 technical operations and application support, managing incidents for both internal and external customers, installing application updates, and maintaining operational documentation and procedures. Independently performs real‑time monitoring of systems for software and hardware errors, failures, and capacity issues; troubleshoots, diagnoses, and collaborates with other analysts and the development team, using deep expertise and industry knowledge. Independently performs startup and shutdown of core systems, leads recovery procedures, scheduling, backups, and monitors batch processes. Independently troubleshoots complex order entry and market data connectivity issues with clients, on‑prem to cloud, exchanges, market centers, and network providers. Independently reviews system capabilities, departmental workflow, and scheduling requirements to evaluate efficiencies and improvements. Strong scripting and automation skills: Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible. Knowledge of networking concepts: virtual networks, load balancers, firewalls. Manages security of operating systems. What We Expect Education: Degree qualified in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience in data center, trading, computer, or network operations. Knowledgeable in Unix/Linux commands from basic to advanced. Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments. Experience writing shell scripts in Bash, Ruby, or Python. Experience with GitLab, configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet), containerization (Docker), cloud (AWS), and orchestration systems (Kubernetes). Minimum five years of relevant experience. Special qualifications: certifications relevant to the role.
