Motel/Lodge Service Manager (Work in New Zealand) You must have over 3 years of hotel management experience. Experience in running food and beverage or restaurant operations. What we can offer: You need to relocate to Pipers Lodge in New Zealand for this role. We can sponsor a working visa for overseas applicants if you are qualified. Minimum guaranteed hours of work: 30+ hrs per week. Pay rate: NZ$28.18 or more per hour plus a package including company car, phone, laptop, and food and beverage. Accommodation provided with staff rate. About the Role As the Motel/Lodge Service Manager, you will oversee daily operations to ensure the highest standards of service, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. You will manage staff, resolve guest concerns, optimize workflows, and uphold the hotel’s reputation for excellence. Location: This role requires working at Tongariro National Park with occasional travel to Wellington. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support front desk and housekeeping team members to ensure smooth operations. Monitor service quality and implement improvements to enhance guest experiences. Manage room inventory, check‑in/check‑out processes, and billing accuracy. Maintain attendance records and rosters. Address and resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally. Ensure all guest requests and special accommodations are fulfilled efficiently. Maintain high guest satisfaction scores (e.g., through post‑stay reviews). Train staff to uphold service standards and foster a positive work environment. Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak periods. Monitor inventory levels for amenities, linens, and supplies. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Oversee maintenance of equipment and report issues promptly. Other tasks as required by the General Manager/Director. Required Qualifications and Experience Minimum of 3 years of hotel management experience, preferably in a motel or lodge setting. Experience supervising teams and managing daily operations. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field. Strong problem‑solving and communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours to support daily operations and seasonal demand. Experience with food and beverage or restaurant operations is an asset.
