Enjoy the ease of shopping from the comfort of your home while supporting local businesses. Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and processing payroll for our employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining employee records, managing payroll-related inquiries, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our payroll operations. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end payroll process including wages, deductions, bonuses. Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing. Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status. Verify and process timekeeping data for accurate pay. Ensure compliance with federal, state, local payroll regulations and tax laws. Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation. Prepare and submit payroll reports, tax filings, and other required documentation to government agencies. Generate and analyze payroll reports to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll-related issues. Provide support for payroll-related matters, including W-2s and other tax documents. Collaborate with HR for seamless onboarding and offboarding related to payroll. Collaborate with finance team to manage budgets and forecast payroll expenses. Identify opportunities for improving payroll processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Assist in the implementation of payroll software or system upgrades. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. At least 2-3 years relevant experience. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel. Sprout HRIS experience. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
