Partner closely with our Head of Engineering to define and execute long‑term technical strategy. Lead the backend roadmap — designing architecture, defining standards, and ensuring consistency across services and documentation. Mentor and support junior engineers, cultivating a culture of thoughtful, constructive code reviews. Drive continuous improvement with pragmatic, delivery‑focused decisions that balance speed and scalability. Collaborate with product teams to deeply understand user needs, ensuring our solutions are both technically elegant and user‑centric. Take ownership like a true Manager of One — defining your path, managing your priorities, and driving meaningful impact. What You Bring: 4+ years of professional experience in web application development. Proven experience working with cross‑functional product teams and collaborating closely with Product Managers. Strong expertise in: Python for microservices design and development. PostgreSQL and MongoDB for schema design, data modeling, and optimization. Redis for caching and performance improvement. Authentication & Authorization (secure API design and access control). Database query optimization and indexing. Solid understanding of design patterns, test‑driven development, and software engineering best practices.
