Job Description for a Senior Backend Developer Qualifications as a Senior Backend Developer: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. At least 5+ years of backend development experience. Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript . Hands-on experience with AWS and serverless technologies . Strong understanding of event-driven systems and distributed architectures. Skilled in backend design patterns and best practices. Able to document and communicate software architecture clearly. Fluent in written and spoken English. Ownership mindset with a proactive, problem-solving attitude. Your responsibilities as a Senior Backend Developer would be: Architect and develop scalable backend systems and microservices using Node.js and TypeScript. Build serverless and event-driven applications leveraging AWS (Lambda, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, DynamoDB, S3). Design and integrate backend services for IoT and payment system use cases. Write clean, well-documented, and tested code. Optimize and maintain existing codebases and proactively resolve bugs. Produce robust technical documentation to support long-term scalability. Work collaboratively with a cross-functional development team. Lead improvements in development processes and backend infrastructure.
