Overview

Mary Grace Foods, Inc. is seeking a role responsible for identifying process and system improvements within the plant and supporting the development and implementation of automated systems in the plant.

Project Management
  • R&D Project Support and Management: Provides comprehensive support for all phases of R&D projects, from conception to completion, including assisting with project planning, resource allocation, risk assessment, and tracking progress against established timelines and budgets.
  • Cross-Functional Team Coordination and Alignment: Acts as a key liaison between the R&D department and internal teams, including operations, engineering, marketing, and quality control, fostering communication and collaboration to ensure R&D projects align with broader objectives.
  • Prepare and present Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) Reports: Prepare detailed CBA reports for new machinery acquisitions and continued operation of existing equipment.
  • Prepare and present Return on Investment (ROI) Reports: Generate ROIs to demonstrate the financial viability and profitability of equipment investments.
Process Improvement
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current processes and desired outcomes.
  • Analyze existing processes, workflows, and data to implement solutions that improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
Machine Testing and Automation
  • Conduct Thorough Testing and Validation: Implement comprehensive testing protocols for all proposed and newly acquired equipment, including performance, stress, compatibility with existing infrastructure, and user acceptance testing.
  • Document all test results and address any identified issues promptly.
Data Analysis and Interpretation
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from testing and multiple production runs.
  • Prepare reports on research findings and present data-driven recommendations to senior management.
  • Utilize statistical tools and software to analyze data trends, correlations, and significance.
  • Translate statistical results into actionable insights within the context of research objectives.
  • Regularly review improvements and automation in terms of utilization and cost savings.
Compliance & Standards
  • Ensure all R&D activities comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain detailed records of research methodologies, findings, and product specifications for future reference and patent purposes.
  • Create technical specifications and collaborate on user and maintenance guides.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders to communicate progress and outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree related to Food Technology, Food Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related fields.
  • 1 to 2 years of work experience in research and development or quality assurance in food manufacturing.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Knowledge of GMP, GDP and GWP.
Working Conditions
  • Full time and on-site in Paranaque, with occasional visits to supplier sites and cafe locations.
