Overview

Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Hybrid-Flexible Options) – Broadridge

We are looking for a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure solutions across a full-stack environment. This role requires deep collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive automation, ensure service reliability, and align technical architecture with business strategy. Ideal candidates will have strong expertise in cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, and service monitoring to elevate operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies.
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs, considering automation, availability, performance, scale and cost.
  • Ensure technical and security best practices, along with Broadridge standards, are adhered to in the design of technical infrastructure.
  • Participate in technical design sessions with application development, infrastructure teams, vendors, and clients to review infrastructure designs for new projects.
  • Deliver high-quality technical infrastructure on time, following Broadridge processes.
  • Automate the implementation and operational support of the infrastructure.
  • Provide estimates of projects and recommended scope or schedule changes based on capacity and challenges.
  • Contribute to technical implementation to ensure the quality of infrastructure, automation, and team productivity.
  • Track Service Level Indicators (SLIs) to monitor health of infrastructure and services.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure capacity, scaling, security, and availability of services.
  • Understand dependencies between infrastructure components, vendor software, custom software, and supporting processing stacks.
  • Collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams to prevent and shorten production incidents.
  • Define Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for Broadridge services.
  • Implement operational improvements for automation, monitoring, and incident management to increase reliability.
  • Mentor junior associates through established processes.
Skills/Competencies
  • 5-7+ years of experience with commercial service infrastructure at both software and infrastructure levels.
  • Functional skills: System Design and Architecture, DevOps/Deployment automation, Troubleshooting, Service Monitoring.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with ability to work under pressure and adapt.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical design with a focus on aligning roadmap with business strategy.
  • Knowledge of micro-services, layered architectures, and cloud design patterns.
  • Strong aptitude for learning new skills and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in programming and application systems environments with experience in:
  • OS: Linux, Windows
  • Automation: Terraform, BladeLogic, Chef, Jenkins, Ansible
  • Cloud: AWS, Azure
  • Scripting: PowerShell, Perl, Shell
