This role ensures timely application of payments, maintains financial accuracy, and supports continuous improvement within the Accounts Receivable function. Duties include but not limited to Process and apply daily cash receipts accurately and on time Exercise judgment in applying cash application rules based on standards and customer requirements Process cheque payments sent to lockbox and scan physical cheques for deposit Record and file cheque copies for reconciliation and audit purposes Process and apply credit card payments in ERP systems Allocate wires and direct deposits to correct customer accounts and invoices Manage customer payment accounts in ERP (NetSuite) Investigate and process refunds for duplicate/overpayments Handle NSF transactions and related documentation Reconcile deposit clearing accounts for cheques, credit cards, and EFT payments Prepare journal entries for bank fees, credit card fees, and month‑end activities Process small balance write‑offs and monthly adjustments Respond to payment inquiries from customers and internal teams Identify and recommend process improvements to drive efficiency Provide backup support to other finance team members Participate in special projects as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred Minimum of 3‑5 years of experience in Cash Applications Strong customer service skills and professional communication style Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced and deadline‑driven environment Must be willing to work following North American business hours System Requirements Computer Processor: Intel 8th generation or newer/AMD Ryzen 2000 series or newer Memory/RAM: 16 GB Computer OS: Windows 11 and future enterprise operating systems Storage: 500 GB SSD Primary Internet Connection: must be running on a 20+ Mbps wired plan (at least 5 Mbps for backup connection) Extra Monitor Microsoft Office License #J-18808-Ljbffr
