Position Summary
The Business Data Analyst (Technical Billing Operations Manager) acts as a subject matter expert (SME) and ensures accurate billing and invoicing through proactive reconciliation, deep investigation, and cross-functional collaboration. This role requires a data-driven, solutions-oriented mindset, combining operational precision with a vision for continuous improvement.
You will utilize SQL to examine billing discrepancies, identify trends, and accurately diagnose root causes. A willingness to learn and implement Python for forensic analysis is highly recommended. You will adopt a systems thinking approach; working within the current ecosystem\'s constraints while also promoting scalable solutions for long-term enhancements.
This role will be based in Makati, Manila, working a night shift (10:00pm - 8:00am). Employees are required to attend the office 5 days/week.
What You\'ll Do?
- Be the billing SME, ensuring accuracy through proactive reconciliation and deep investigation.
- Use SQL to diagnose anomalies, identify trends, and uncover root causes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Engineering, Product, and Support to resolve issues and drive improvements.
- Champion observability, partnering with engineers and PMs to prevent billing issues before they happen.
- Lead structured retrospectives and contribute to KPI, OKR, and SLO enhancements.
- Guide monthly billing runs and co-create durable fixes with diverse stakeholders.
What You Bring?
- 5+ years of experience in billing, invoicing, or financial systems—ideally in a SaaS or cloud-based environment.
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects from discovery to delivery, using Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and troubleshooting; Python knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with project management tools like Jira, Confluence, or Asana to drive transparency and accountability.
- A strategic mindset with a knack for breaking down ambiguity into actionable plans.
- Excellent communication skills—you can translate technical issues into business impact and vice versa.
- A calm, collaborative approach under pressure, with a bias for action and a strong sense of ownership.

Business Data Analyst plays a critical role in the day-to-day operational support of the Portfolio Management Team. This position supports processes and reports essential to trending analysis and decision making. You will provide reporting and analysis services to the client on-demand and per schedule, turning raw data into information and insight for business decisions.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Objective
- To support the Portfolio Management Team by generating reports and analyzing internal and external data to provide actionable insights that guide business decisions and improve operational efficiency.
- This role ensures the integrity of data and the timeliness of dashboard availability and provides ad hoc data requirements.
Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Collect, clean, organize data sets, and analyze internal and external data to identify and validate trends and gather actionable insights.
- Generate regular and ad hoc reports to support portfolio performance reviews and strategic decision-making.
- Translate complex data sets into clear, concise visualizations and summaries for stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
- Ensure timely updates with accurate, validated data.
- Optimize dashboard performance and usability based on user feedback.
Data Integrity, Quality Assurance, and Collaboration
- Validate data sources and ensure consistency and accuracy across all reporting outputs in collaboration with IT and Finance.
- Implement data quality checks and reconciliation processes to maintain high standards of data integrity
Stakeholder Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with Portfolio managers, business leaders, and analysts to understand data needs and communicate insights effectively.
- Act as a bridge between technical teams, business units, and IQVIA to align data initiatives. Continuously enhance reporting processes through automation and stay current with analytics trends and tools.
Market Survey and Insight
- Support Portfolio Managers and business leaders in gathering insights from internal or external surveys and from other data sources.
- Act as the primary liaison between third-party partners, internal teams, and business stakeholders to ensure effective coordination, clear communication, and timely delivery of results and reports.
6. Act as the primary contact for the internal pricing database, ensuring accessibility and accuracy of data required by other departments.
7. Other tasks as required to support the team in managing their respective portfolio.
Functional Knowledge
- Proficiency in tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel for dashboard creation and data visualization.
- Ability to translate technical findings into business-friendly language.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Understanding of statistical methods and data interpretation techniques.
- Ability to derive insights from quantitative and qualitative data sources.
Business Perspective
- At least 5 years experience in retail, manufacturing or distribution company managing business/data analytics on sales reporting, market data analysis and other similar reports.
- Experience in Pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of survey methodologies, sampling techniques, and questionnaire design is a plus.
Planning
Establish a clear objective, define data needs and create a reporting strategy, including dashboard design, survey scheduling, and stakeholder communication protocols. Set up data governance practices for accuracy, consistency, and compliance. Include continuous process improvement through automation and performance monitoring.

- The outputs will drive operational efficiency within the Trade Portfolio team by streamlining data access and reporting, enabling managers to focus on strategic decisions.
