Your Team's Impact
Manila's Third-party Data Solutions Engineering team seeks an experienced engineering manager to lead its platform tools developers. The team focuses on developing solutions to enhance the operations and sustainability of FactSet's third-party data products, utilizing various technologies. The team interfaces with other platforms and product teams in Paris, London, Hyderabad, New York, and Norwalk. The work is conducted in an agile environment with a Product Owner and Scrum Master for each team. You will report to Manila's Associate Director for Data Solutions Engineering.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate project staffing and execution between local and remote peers, leads, and stakeholders. Ensure engineering development aligns with business priorities and staffing is optimized accordingly.
  • Train, mentor, and manage engineering team leads to perform at high levels and build capable leaders for future growth.
  • Hire and train new personnel to meet team needs. Collaborate with local and remote leaders on staffing and hiring plan objectives.
  • Problem solve and contribute to higher-level design (operational or architectural) to ensure product effectiveness and organizational efficiency.

  • Software development fundamentals: ability to evaluate good design and development practices.
  • Written and verbal communication: effective interaction with peers, team members, and remote stakeholders/managers.
  • Analytical problem solving: ability to decompose complex problems and operational events.
  • Patience and ability to teach/mentor others; experience training new hires.
  • Experience developing and deploying production software to mentor others on development processes and quality.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects with different agendas.
  • Team building: ability to motivate others and foster a constructive, collaborative environment.

Nice To Have

  • Technical project management experience or exposure to project and operations management best practices.
  • Facilitation and strategic planning skills beyond standard Scrum ceremonies.
