General Ledger Accountant

Duties and Responsibilities Maintain the financial records of the organization which includes the following: Preparation and maintenance of the general ledger in compliance with GAAP / PFRS Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis (i.e. bank reconciliation with bank statements, etc.), preparation of related journal entries and reports (i.e. roll-forwards and aging analysis, etc.) Preparation of monthly income and expense accruals and other adjusting journal entries Reconciliation of financial records against accounting system (i.e. SAP) Research and resolve discrepancies on a timely manner Maintenance of documentation for all journal entries and account reconciliations Participation in the periodic closing process to ensure that Group closing timelines are met Responsible for financial reporting and analysis for Management requirements: Preparation of financial statements (i.e. Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Changes in Equity and Cash Flow Statement, etc.) and other relevant financial reports required by Management Analysis of account activity and fluctuations to ensure accuracy and completeness of information Perform actuals to actuals variance analysis (i.e. month-on-month, year-on-year, etc.) to ensure account movements are reasonable, accurate and complete Responsible for financial reporting for audit and regulatory requirements: Review and analysis of financial transactions to determine whether they comply with regulations (i.e., SEC, BIR, LGU, BOI, SBMA, DOE, ERC requirements, etc.) Preparation of full financial statements including notes to financial statements for external audit purposes Preparation of Audited Financial Statement and other reports that are required for statutory and regulatory filing Support internal and external auditors during the audit process Other responsibilities include: Providing assistance/active participation in special projects as needed Adhere to all Company policies and procedures Ensure Accounting controls and authorizations are in place and followed at all times. Perform other duties as assigned Job Requirements Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy or any Finance related course CPA is an advantage At least 2 years of relevant work experience Strong background in general accounting and financial reporting Strong background in Philippine statutory tax computation Proficiency in MS applications (e.g., MS Excel, Word, etc.) Must be reliable and disciplined Knowledge or experience in SAP is a plus With initiative and good communication skills Able to work with minimal supervision Must be willing to report to office at least twice a week and may work extended hours during month-end closing and audit season in order to meet deadlines About ACEN Shared Services, Inc.
