Overview

As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in demonstrating value and contributing to our clients’ success. You will be responsible for timely, accurate, and complete monthly financial reports, while also sharing insights to improve our processes.

Responsibilities
  • Monthly Financial Reporting: Reconcile bank and credit card transactions; prepare profit & loss statements and related financial reports; review reports for accuracy before submitting for review.
  • Year-End Financial Reporting: Ensure thorough review and reconciliation of all client files; send files to tax accountants and book adjusting entries as needed.
  • Client Communication & Support: Respond promptly to client requests for reports, forecasts, or analysis; assist Account and Production Managers with information requests from tax accountants and financial institutions.
  • File Management: Organize client information in Hubdoc and SharePoint; ensure all financial reports are uploaded into SharePoint.
  • Providing Back-Up: Participate in cross-training for other accountants’ client files; provide coverage for colleagues when necessary.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Proficiency in bookkeeping and accounting.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple client files and manage deadlines.
  • Experience with accounting software, including QuickBooks Online, Hubdoc, and SharePoint, is a plus.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience as an Accountant
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Availability to work during Canadian business hours (Monday to Friday, 40 hours)
