Overview

Part of a team that functions as a single point of contact for service disruption, service requests, and for request for change. Overall ticket owner comprising of activities but not limited to incident diagnosis and resolution, request fulfillment and management on service-related modifications.

Functions and Responsibilities

  • Point of interface for fault management and change management. Responsible for technical troubleshooting and ensure timely resolution.
  • Ensure regular customer communications of status progress on their reported concern.
  • Escalate to high level support for prolonged cases for resolution or require their immediate attention.
  • Attends to service requests and do necessary system configuration and coordinates with high level support if beyond capabilities.
  • Proactive platform and infrastructure monitoring through INMS to ensure platform and service availability.
  • Internal and external supplier/support team liaison to drive for service restoration according to SLA requirement.
  • To undertake special assignments when required.
  • Other tasks / functions that may be assigned as per business requirement.

Summary of This Role

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for all issues related to the tools of Security Engineering and other technologies.
  • Perform real-time monitoring of availability and operations of security tools and technologies.
  • Review and understand technical and operational documentation.
  • Review and approve Firewall requests
  • Track operational aspects of security monitoring equipment and software, scheduled tasks, reporting, alerting, and other key aspects of security tools\' health.
  • Report observed issues or outages using the standard ticketing system.
  • Perform initial troubleshooting, symptom documentation and initial issue isolation.
  • Implement Changes that are within the scope of L1
  • Escalate issues to next level support, vendor or Leadership.
  • Triage issues coming from chat, call, emails and tickets (incident, request).
  • Attend meetings and escalation/bridge calls.
  • Prepare internal RCA document.
  • Prepare and deliver turnover reports and communicate with the other shift colleagues to ensure continuity in support.

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

Minimum Qualifications

  • At Least 1-3 years work and knowledge experience in host or network security tools.

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative and global environment.
  • Experience in troubleshooting security applications/tools.
  • Amenable to work on a rotating schedule to provide 24x7 support.

JOB SUMMARY / JOB PURPOSE

Their primary objective is to proactively monitor the behavior and trends of BAYAD applications, transactions traffics and the utilization of the on-prem and on-cloud environment. The team will interact with the other department by providing applications statistics reports thru email. You will work alongside with the infrastructure team and Application Support team for reporting any abnormalities found in the monitoring tools.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with senior members of the team to gather monitoring requirements from stakeholders and deliver solutions based on direction provided by Monitoring Lead.
  • Support multiple technical teams in 24 x 7 operational environments with high uptime requirements. Varied shift schedules will include day or evening hours.
  • Trigger problem tickets regarding monitoring and event management, such as incorrect or missing alerts and provide inputs for Root Cause Analysis
  • Manage the monitoring tool installation on the servers. Regular housekeeping, patching, monitoring, and trouble shooting.
  • To publish daily statistics reports, dashboards, and metrics of application traffic to internal teams and clients.
  • Collect and review performance reports for various systems, and report trends in hardware and application performance to assist senior technical personnel to predict future issues or outages.
  • Translates service performance metrics and measurement standards into Event and Incident Management requirements, build and continuously improve capability aligned with BAYAD\'s technology roadmap and adoption.
  • Develop and modify custom monitoring checks using the existing monitoring tools.
  • Provide 24/7 support for all incidents.
  • Do complete documentation of the environment, monitoring policies and procedures.
  • Support in technical proposals preparation for new and existing services
  • Report issues to the next escalation level on all detected abnormalities or anomalies in the systems based on the historical trends of the application traffics.
