Responsibilities Collecting and analyzing data about a company's operational costs Developing and analyzing cost standards Carrying out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis Performing account reconciliations Preparing audit reports and presenting findings to management Recommended changes to the company's processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit Advising executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial data Managing the company\'s balance sheet and accounting books Supporting other company accountants with invoicing and capital expenditure Reviewing standard actual costs for inaccuracies Preparing budgeting reports (for the company and each department) Analyzing and reporting profit margins Preparing (monthly, quarterly and annual) cost forecasts Assisting in month-end and year-end closing Identifying and recommending cost-effective solutions Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Proven work experience as cost accountant, cost analyst, accountant, or similar role Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with pivot tables) Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail Ability to handle confidential information Required Skills Cost accounting and financial analysis Financial reporting and budgeting Strong data interpretation and problem-solving Job Details Seniority level: Entry level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Finance and Accounting/Auditing Industries: Hospitals and Health Care Note: Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Makati Development Corporation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
