Job Summary

The Systems Operations and Meter Engineer is responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining power systems and metering infrastructure to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and reliability. The successful candidate will support day-to-day operations, system analysis, meter data management, and compliance with regulatory and safety standards. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise in metering systems, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.

• Monitor, control, and optimize electrical systems operations in compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.
• Ensure the accurate installation, calibration, testing, and maintenance of metering systems.
• Conduct system performance analysis and recommend corrective measures to improve efficiency.
• Manage and validate metering data for billing, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Support integration of new metering technologies and system upgrades.
• Troubleshoot system and metering issues, coordinating with technical teams for resolution.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Must be a Licensed Electrical Engineer.
• At least 1-2 years of professional experience in power systems operations, metering engineering, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and metering technologies.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance in the energy/power industry.
• Proficiency in using SCADA, metering software, and data management systems.
• Preferably with a professional driver's license with restriction codes 1 and 2.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic/electrical testing, installation (or PIPs), troubleshooting and repair of cranes.
• Perform inspection, diagnosis, and/or crane health checks to customers nationwide.
• Conduct operator trainings and commissioning on new or used cranes sold to customers.
• Prepare field service reports and provide recommended parts and maintenance to customers.
• Accomplish all required reports and documentation including field service reports, work time sheets, productivity reports, etc.
• Attend necessary service trainings as prescribed by the company to improve technical competencies and capabilities.
• Proper use and upkeep of assigned company assets such as mobile phone, laptop, service tools, company vehicle, etc.
• Observe, implement, and comply strict safety policies and procedures in both company and customer premises.
• Any other adhoc job assigned by management or immediate supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electromechanical Technology / Mechanical Engineering or 2-year technical course specializing in Electromechanical technology.
• Must have basic English oral and written communication skills, computer literate, able to read and interpret technical diagrams, can drive.
• Able to work overtime as required.
• Extensive domestic travelling may be required.
• Willing to work on provincial assignments.

Job Description

• Act as an escalation point for hotel support helpdesks and Network Operations Team.
• Responds to tickets assigned to them via service desk and ensures effective resolution of faults within agreed SLAs.
• Maintain regular communication with customers and internal staff for all faults assigned to them.
• Occasionally provide telephone and email support to our clients and internal staff, as needed across the entire range of our services and solutions.
• Working with carriers to achieve fault resolution
• Occasionally provide technical support and solution design for our conference teams.
• Perform site network, hardware installation, surveys and documentation.
• Perform technical projects such as upgrades, new software releases, hardware swap outs as dictated by internal product development roadmap.
• Perform regular maintenance of the backbone network, identifying and resolving issues where possible.
• Document and log all activity and information using the defined tools and procedures.
• Developing and writing detailed process and systems documentation

Qualifications

• Skilled in SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)
• Proficient in instrumentation and control systems
• Experience with VSD (Variable Speed Drives) and VFD (Variable Frequency Drives)
• Relevant field experience
