Solar Sales Executive

The Sales Executive (Solar) is responsible for generating leads, promoting solar products and solutions, and closing sales to achieve business growth. This role requires a deep understanding of solar technology, energy savings, and customer needs to effectively present and sell renewable energy solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in residential, commercial, and industrial solar markets.
  • Conduct site visits, feasibility assessments, and initial consultations with potential clients.
  • Present and explain solar solutions, system designs, and financial benefits (ROI, savings, net metering, etc.) to customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Negotiate contracts, prepare proposals, and close sales deals.
  • Work with the technical team to ensure accurate quotations and installation planning.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, government incentives, and regulatory requirements.
  • Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
  • Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and marketing campaigns to promote solar products.
  • Provide post-sales support and customer service to ensure satisfaction and long-term trust.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven track record in sales (experience in solar, renewable energy, or construction is a strong advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of solar energy systems, net metering, and financing options.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and site inspections.

Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number of solar systems sold and installed.
  • Monthly/quarterly revenue generated.
  • Client acquisition and retention rates.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of proposals and reports.
  • Customer satisfaction and referrals.
