The Audit Head is responsible for overseeing the internal audit function of an organization. They lead a team of auditors to ensure that the organization's financial, operational, and compliance risks are identified and managed appropriately. They also ensure that the organization's internal controls are effective in safeguarding assets, ensuring accuracy of financial statements, and compliance with laws and regulations.

Main Duties, Responsibilities and Performance Indicators

  • Develop and implement the annual audit plan based on the organization's risk assessment

  • Lead a team of auditors in conducting audits of financial, operational, and compliance risks

  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws, regulations, and auditing standards

  • Review and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the organization's internal controls

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, external auditors, and regulators

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the audit team

  • Monitor and track implementation of audit recommendations

  • Communicate audit findings and recommendations to senior management and the audit committee

  • Main Duties/Responsibilities

  • Identify areas of potential risk and provide recommendations to mitigate those risks

  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures

  • People development

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

  • Professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in auditing or accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

  • Strong knowledge of auditing principles, practices, and standards

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Ability to manage and motivate a team of auditors

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders

  • High level of integrity and ethical standards
