POSITION PURPOSE:
Renders assistance to Legal Officer on the drafting, reviewing of Legal Documents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Drafts contracts including, but not limited to time charter agreements, supply agreements, service agreements; merger agreements, share purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, escrow agreements, paying agent agreements, engagement agreements, lease agreements, insurance policies, etc.;
- Handles, reviews and identifies key terms and other relevant information of clients’ and suppliers’ contracts and related documents;
- Assists in implementing changes to contracts to comply with legislation/regulations;
- In cases where issues arise from corporate transactions and/or contracts to which the Company is a party of, responsible in drafting responses and correspondence during the litigation, mediation, arbitration, and to any other complaints;
- Responsible for reviewing, tracking and monitoring legislation that impacts the company's products and/or processes;
- Updates the management with timely analysis and summaries of new legislation/regulations affecting the business;
- Responsible for doing research activities concerning statutory laws, jurisprudence, and other pertinent legal authorities relevant to the company’s business operations;
- Keep abreast of statutory laws, regulations and standards related to the company’s industry; and
- Any other task, assignment, or project as may be determined by the Legal Manager where the interest of the Company is directly or indirectly involved.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- GRADUATE OF ANY BACHELOR’S DEGREE AND CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN BACHELOR’S OF LAW or
- GRADUATE OF ANY BACHELOR’S DEGREE AND HAS PREVIOUSLY STUDIED BACHELOR’S OF LAW
EXPERIENCE:
- Having a previous work experience in the shipping and maritime industry is a plus not a must
- Having a previous work experience as a Paralegal is a plus
