Key Responsibilities
Oversee maintenance of tractor-trailers, semi-trucks, and various trailer types
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, air brake systems, and hydraulic systems
Manage preventive maintenance schedules for fleet vehicles
Ensure DOT compliance and safety inspections
Supervise the maintenance team, coordinate with drivers, and be willing to service truck units outside the garage
Manage parts inventory for heavy-duty components
Troubleshoot electrical and air conditioning systems
Required Qualifications
5+ years of heavy-duty truck/trailer mechanic experience
2+ years supervisory experience
ASE Heavy Truck certifications preferred
Knowledge of Diesel engines
Experience with air brake systems and DOT regulations
Proficiency with diagnostic software and tools
Valid driver's license; CDL preferred (Restrictions 1,2,3 & 5)
Technical certification or associate degree in the mechanical field
Experience with [specific equipment/industry relevant to our business]
Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems.
