POSITION TITLE: Accounting Assistant
WORK LOCATION: Alabang
SALARY RANGE: Negotiable
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time, On-site

WHR Global Consulting, a global talent solution provider, is looking for a stellar candidate to fill the role of Accounting Assistant for its client based in Alabang.

This is a full-time, on-site, direct-hire role.

Duties:
Accounting Operations:
Prepare and post book entries including depreciation runs, recurring entries, prepayments, deferrals, accruals, and payroll entries.
Reconcile balance sheets, accounts payable, accruals, payroll-related accounts, and prepayments.
Manage fixed asset accounting, including maintenance, retirement, additions, and capitalizations.
Post batch entries from other units into SAP and act as SAP User Maintenance custodian.

Taxes & Regulatory Compliance:
Prepare, analyze, and administer tax computations, filings, and remittances following Tax Management Guidelines.
Ensure timely posting of tax-related entries and compliance with government reportorial requirements (LGU, BIR, IC, BSP).
Coordinate permit renewals, submission of IC Annual Statements, and liaise with regulatory bodies.
Support audits and reviews by BIR and IC.

Management Control & External Audit:
Prepare audit schedules for assigned accounts and coordinate with other teams for Notes to Financial Statements.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of audit documents.

Projects and Ad Hoc Tasks:
Support system implementations and accounting process improvements.
Assist in other accounting projects and tasks as assigned by the Head of Area.


Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and tax regulations
Has a background on general insurance.
Proficient in SAP and other accounting software
Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Experience in preparing financial statements, tax filings, and audit schedules is an advantage
