BPO Operations Manager

This position reports into Global Account to Report Director and is based at Paranaque, Philippines.

This role will be part of the Global Services Finance team in the BPO Service Management process area. The Global Services Finance organization provides best-in-class, cost-effective financial services, and compliance—in a Kenvue way—to our Operating Companies around the world.

What you will do

The BPO Service Management Team is responsible for the liaison of process and activities within the BPO service provider. Key to this team is building strong relationships with the BPO and internal Operations teams, ensuring that there is a seamless hand-off for roles and responsibilities making sure work is compliant and of a high standard in the Kenvue way.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain Operational Excellence

  • Responsible for leading accounting and daily operations for BPO Service Management process area.
  • Timely closing & execution of financial periods as per closing calendar and in accordance with SLA commitments, fully observing Compliance, Internal Audit & SOX requirements.
  • Accountable for completeness, accuracy, and validity of the actuals reported within process/entity scope.
  • Driving deep expertise, ensuring team are fully knowledgeable of the Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements for respective areas.
  • Lead Accounting team (team of B25 and below associates).
  • Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities.
  • Ensure adherence, monitor, remediate, and align compliance responsibilities with stakeholders.
  • Manage, mitigate, and escalate risks on a timely basis.
  • Ensure strong internal controls are in place, in order to achieve "adequate" internal and external audit ratings

  • Develop succession plans for and support career development of the team.
  • Ensure effective performance management within the team.

Be a Trusted Business Partner

  • Champion & Influence strategy & solutions demonstrating strong Business acumen.
  • Internally recruit, mentor, and drive the individual Process SMEs to ensure cross-sector, cross-region, and cross-process alignment, ensuring good documentation is maintained and consistency of a global approach.
  • If assigned a role of Operational Key Contact (OKC) then candidates will be the key liaison point within their Process for a defined Region & Sector with BUF and CFMs, answering queries, coordinating with SMEs/analysts on process and operational matters, resolving issues and updating partners on close status.

Qualifications

What we are looking for

Education

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's level degree or equivalent is required, preferably in accounting, finance, or related business discipline.
  • CPA, CMA, MBA, and/or other financial certifications is preferred.

Required

  • At least 8-10 years of professional experience is required.
  • At least 3-5 years of Management / Supervisory experience is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to frame clear & concise communication across all relevant stakeholders.
  • Be open to new ideas, rapid change, and embracing new technologies.
  • Experience in Project Management

Preferred

  • Experience in a Shared Service Centre of a multinational corporation or BPO.
  • Experience in a Global Account to Report function of a large multi-state company.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations, demonstrating a pragmatic approach.
  • Successfully manage multiple priorities, be very organized, and work efficiently to tight deadlines.
  • Solid US GAAP accounting knowledge.
  • Digital/ intelligent automation capabilities.

Other Notes

  • Candidates may be asked to work shifts to align with global assignments in Americas / EMEA / Asia.
  • Lead/Participate in other Regional/Global/Cross-functional duties as assigned.
  • Fluent English, other language skills desirable.
