The Job Opportunity

As a member of the Information Technology team at Goodyear Philippines, you'll play a key role as a .NET Developer. Reporting to an IT team leader, your main tasks will involve delivering software solutions that meet business requirements. This includes adding new features, fixing software issues, running tests, performing upgrades, handling data migration, and more. Your role will also encompass providing support during upgrades and beta releases on production servers.

Moreover, you should be able to leverage current technologies and methodologies like Agile to develop technical solutions that align with business needs. Collaboration and continuous learning will be essential in this position.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy Digital Business Solutions to enhance R&D, testing systems, engineering, and manufacturing platforms, using proper design patterns and conducting regular code reviews.
  • Create unit tests to support production code, following test-driven development practices.
  • Collaborate with the product owner and team members to grasp requirements, monitor code quality, and address technical debt.
  • Troubleshoot technology-related issues, developing solutions for complex problems and ensuring system security and integrity.
  • Stay updated on information technologies and processes, expanding your technical knowledge to contribute effectively to Goodyear's success.

Requirements to Join Our Team

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in VB.NET or C# development.
  • Experience in developing object-oriented desktop applications.
  • Familiarity with code repositories like SVN, GitHub, etc.
  • Knowledge of modern toolchains such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.
  • Basic understanding of Java and JavaScript is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of CATIA V5 and Teamcenter is desirable.
  • Good grasp of the Office Product Suite.
  • Understanding of the business processes and a proactive approach to customer interaction.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to deliver quality work on time with minimal errors.
