The Network Operations Center Analyst II is part of the Technology Operations and Support Services team working with security incidents as they occur. Responsible for monitoring infiltration attempts and analyzing logs for patterns to ensure infiltration attempts are identified and dealt with in a timely manner.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor, analyze and report data flow to identify and block malicious behavior and activities.Investigate alerts/alarms according to Standard Operating Procedures.Administer the Managed Security Services and Incident Handling ProcessIdentify risk areas that will require vulnerability prevention.Provide updates and identified threats to the organization.Manage trouble-ticketing system ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.Collaborate with internal and external groups to help identify and resolve issues affecting our services.Develop and maintain NOC policies, procedures and tools.Stay current with Security technologies and make recommendations for use based on business value.Identify attack patterns and assist in taking action to defend against them.Provide guidance to colleagues on routine tasks Ability to work on non-routine tasks; resolves issues/makes working decisions within area of specialization or responsibility with minimal supervision.Expected to apply acquired skills, policies and procedures, as appropriate, to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity.Exercise judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:3-5 years hands-on experience on all facets of server and network administration, security, monitoring and maintenance.Available to work on a Night-Shift Schedule4-5 years of experience working in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or other uptime sensitive based role utilizing trending software (e.g. Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Dell Secure Works, McAfee Vulnerability Manager)Experience with common network and server monitoring systemsExperience with Change Management and escalation methodologiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience monitoring and analyzing network traffic, host-based security appliance logs and IDS alerts is a strong plusAbility to learn and broaden technically in order to add value to the NOCAbility to communicate and work with team members to coordinate efforts to support customersAbility to understand and trouble-shoot common internet protocolsProven ability in handling various technologies such as LAN/WAN, Application, File Server Management and Network troubleshooting and repairAble to develop and implement network security policiesMust be self-motivated and willing to learn
