Responsible for the following:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payroll and related accounting functions. This role requires a strong understanding of timecard and payroll processing, compliance with federal and state tax regulations, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. The individual will be a self-starter, demonstrate analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.General Ledger & Account Reconciliation: Prepare worksheets and reconcile accounts, including managing tax reporting and payroll tax payments.Payroll Coordination: Facilitate collaboration between payroll, HR, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate payroll processing.HRIS Administration: Manage the Bank's HRIS payroll and timekeeping modules, ensuring data accuracy and effective system use.Process Improvement: Analyze and provide recommendations to enhance HR and payroll functions.Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audit inquiries and data requests.Compliance: Stay informed of and comply with relevant state and federal laws, including the Bank Secrecy Act and consumer protection regulations.Additional Duties: Perform any other job-related tasks as assigned.

What you bring to the job?

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.At least 2 years of experience in US payroll processing.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MS Excel, ADP, DocuSign, and PDF.Comfortable in working with US-based clientClear and coherent in both written and verbal communication skills are essential to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.Strong negotiation skills for securing payments from customers while maintaining positive relationships.
