What you'll be doing

Leadership

  • Work as a key member of a team specializing in data and analytics, collaborating closely with project leaders and stakeholders to grasp their analytical requirements and provide practical insights
  • Demonstrate initiative and creative thinking to meet business goals and optimize processes
  • Take charge of your own performance, adopting a performance-driven culture and contributing to team achievements
  • Support junior team members in enhancing their skills and advancing their careers
  • Maintain a growth mindset, actively participating in the team's learning and development

Client delivery

  • Prioritize and assist in multiple projects within designated timelines
  • Proactively analyze data to address key inquiries from stakeholders or out of personal interest, identify areas for enhancement in risk management and productivity
  • Create and update interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, integrating diverse reporting elements from multiple data origins
  • Establish and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting suitable methods and tools from the defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solution
  • Develop repetitive processes to convert complex data into user-friendly formats while preserving data integrity
  • Spot automation opportunities and execute workflows
  • Apply data analysis, mining, and processing techniques to present data effectively
  • Comprehend problem definitions and formulate hypotheses
  • Contribute insights to the design of data analysis models based on project needs
  • Offer specialized knowledge to stakeholders and stay informed about trends impacting specific areas
  • Assist in creating practical recommendations
  • Summarize conclusions into actionable insights
  • Complete projects according to agreed-upon standards, delivering appropriate solutions within set time, quality, and budget constraints
  • Prepare documentation outlining data sources, models, and algorithms utilized and developed

Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields
    • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a similar statistics-related field
  • Work Experience
    • At least 2 years of experience in analyzing data from complex datasets and systems
  • Competencies
    • Proven ability to nurture client and stakeholder relationships
    • Strong task management skills, capable of supporting multiple projects simultaneously
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Developing presentation skills for face-to-face interactions and deliverable creation
    • Ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences
    • Collaborative experience with Australian clients and stakeholders in project delivery
    • Self-motivated problem solver
    • Experience with data integration (especially ETL) for analytics applications
    • Programming proficiency in Microsoft SQL, Python, R
    • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI
  • Other Qualifications
    • Relevant technical certifications are advantageous
