As an Accounts Receivable Clerk within the healthcare industry, you will play a crucial role in our revenue cycle by ensuring the timely reimbursement of outstanding accounts. Your primary responsibility will be to resolve outstanding accounts receivable and drive accounts to resolution based on the specific duties assigned to your role as per client agreements. This will require strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt quickly to new systems, technologies, and processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

Resolve outstanding accounts receivable in a timely and accurate manner to maximize reimbursement and achieve strong patient financial results.Collaborate with a team to deliver consistent results while also being able to work independently.Maintain organization and quickly adapt to a fast-paced remote work environment.Stay updated on new systems, technologies, and processes as required by client specifications.Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively follow-up with payers, resolve denials, review charges, and respond to written correspondence.Ensure accurate application of financial transactions to each account, including posting payments and contractual adjustments.Perform thorough research to identify and address potential issues or trends that may affect the timely resolution of accounts, including posting or billing rejections, unidentified payments, underpayments, refunds and posting to deposit variances.Support the revenue cycle through various clerical duties, including mail sorting and routing, deposit preparation, scanning, and credit card processing.Meet productivity standards as outlined in client metrics.Other duties may apply Required Qualifications:
• 6+months of experience in collections, billing, or cash postingProficiency with MS Office (including Excel, Word, and Outlook).Amenable to work on a shifting schedule and extended hours.Professional English Proficiency Medical work experienceExperience in healthcare revenue cycleFinance or accounting experienceKnowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing practicesAt least a SHS Graduate or 2nd year college undergraduate What makes this a special challenge?
