Job Description

Rockwell Automation has a vast hardware, software, and services solutions portfolio. While clients may know the outcomes they want to achieve, finding the best solution can be challenging. Sales Development Representatives are often the first live client interaction and are responsible for helping the client begin their solution evaluation. They seek to understand client needs and serve as the connector between the client and Rockwell's subject matter experts.

As the Inside Sales Manager, you will use your experience and expertise to train, coach, and motivate a team of Sales Development representatives to help take Rockwell Automation's growth to a new level Reporting to the Director of Global Lead to Revenue, you will lead the team to drive Rockwell's inbound demand strategy to generate a pipeline of qualified leads for our sales organization.

SDRs are the backbone of our sales process, establishing customer relationships and strategically developing and providing motivated leads to our sales team. They work closely with all Business Development, Sales, and Marketing teams to develop targeted strategies and messaging to drive opportunities for new business. They are directly involved with expanding Rockwell's business into the region. Success in the role is largely determined by the ability to stay motivated, tenacity, and rigor. The SDR position introduces talent to various career opportunities in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.

What you will do:

  • Manage weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual inbound demand pipeline targets.
  • Develop and execute the Rockwell Automation inbound pipeline generation strategy.
  • Collaborate with peers in Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing.
  • Lead, coach, and inspire your team to create a high-performing culture where individuals can grow careers and contribute to the company's success.
  • Proactively assist with passive and active recruitment efforts.
  • Help drive continuous improvement in the Sales/Business Development practice at Rockwell Automation.
  • Develop thought leadership expertise through planning and participating in various community meet-ups and technical groups, fireside chats, info sessions, tech and recruiting events, etc.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or an equivalent related work experience
  • 5+ years of overall sales experience working with high-growth B2B software organizations
  • 3+ years of progressive quota-carrying expertise with a proven track record of exceeding targets in the B2B technology
  • 2+ years of business development experience working with both an inbound sales process
  • Bilingual is strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of relevant sales methodologies and best practices
  • Ability to monitor and assess progress and make necessary adjustments to achieve target outcomes
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and proven ability to work well in a team environment and independently
  • Strong organizational skills and highly analytical
  • Strong understanding of Dynamics or Salesforce CRM infrastructure, ZoomInfo, Outreach, Gong, and other sales tools
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
