Position Title: Clearing Specialist for Swift

Job Summary

  • Assists the daily operations of the SWIFT/Conventional section such as checking of incoming messages from correspondent banks and foreign subsidiaries; dispatching of messages, printing of SWIFT daily traffic reconciliation, amending/modifying messages from other units, etc.
  • Encodes SWIFT/Telex messages and retrieval/transmission of duly authorized telex/fax/e-mail messages coming from different communications carrier and concerned units.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Checks segregated incoming SWIFT messages prior to distribution to concerned units/departments
  • Ensures prioritization and delivery of incoming messages
  • Checks all outgoing messages, prior to dispatch, if properly signed by authorized officer(s) of their respective Centers/branches or departments and should conform to the standard SWIFT formats
  • Assists in encoding of outgoing SWIFT MT103/202 messages and other Messages Type if required by Business Units, MB Korea and MB Tokyo.
  • Prepares letter request form of tested messages to be authenticated with other local banks (third party testing) and monitors receipt from this local banks and shall ensure that the same are properly recorded in a logbook for control purposes.
  • Checks against logbook incoming messages prior to concerned units to avoid duplication.
  • Sees to it that cable messages are properly signed by authorized officers of their respective Centers or branches and should conform to the standard size of the paper being used.
  • Checks acknowledgement reports of outgoing messages transmitted.
  • Prepares downloaded MT950 data file statements from STSI.
  • Downloads data/file for batch-in of Imports MT700's, MT740's, and MT707.
  • Prepares report summary of all outgoing MT103.
  • Segregates and delivers authenticated foreign cables to concerned units/departments.
  • Logs all incoming messages for internal control purposes.
  • Maintains on orderly system of filing to facilitate message retrieval and review.
  • Assist in Officer's SWIFT Message Screening as Transaction Screening processor.
