Work with Basecheck in calculating and managing GHG emissions as well as crafting impactful reports. Basecheck currently has a Carbon Management Associate opening. Responsibilities

  • Help the Carbon Management Officer in planning and implementation of the project
  • Report to Carbon Management Officer the progress learnings and other valuable insights from the project implementation.
  • Communicate to clients the value of GHG accounting and following the GHG protocol
  • Work closely with the team in planning and implementation of the projects. That includes the following: (1) Lead in orienting the client about the value and technicalities of carbon management and GHG accounting. (2) Defining the system boundaries of the carbon management client. (3) Collecting data for scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions of the client. (4) Collect, compile, and review GHG emissions following the correct emission factors. (5) Internal verification of GHG emissions
  • Help in the development and improvement of the systems and processes for carbon management.
  • Be updated on the trends and best practices of GHG calculation and management. Find ways to apply these insights and learnings to the projects of Basecheck.

Qualifications

  • Holds a degree in environmental science, or any related field.
  • Knowledge in Sustainability Reporting or Accounting (Pollution Control, Environmental Management Audits, Greenhouse Gas Accounting) is an advantage.
  • Knowledge in Sustainability Reporting standards (IFRS, GRI, IR, etc) and Carbon Accounting Standards is an advantage
  • Working knowledge of client relationship management
  • Excellent written and oral communication, problem-solving, and people skills
  • Knowledgeable in different computer applications (like Google Workspace or Microsoft Office apps)
