An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned professional to step into the role of Vice President Risk Manager. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about risk management within the banking sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, measuring, and managing key risks to ensure they stay within defined potential loss parameters. This role offers the chance to put your stamp on the Risk Management Framework, propagate risk consciousness across the organisation, and report on the state of risk to relevant stakeholders.

What you'll do:
As Vice President Risk Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our client's approach to risk management. You will be tasked with identifying key risks and implementing measures to manage these effectively. Your ability to develop a robust Risk Management Framework will be crucial in this role, as will your commitment to propagating a culture of risk consciousness throughout the organisation. You will also be responsible for monitoring these risks closely, reporting on their status to relevant stakeholders, and ensuring that the Risk Management Framework remains relevant and effective.

Identify, measure, and manage key risks within defined potential loss parameters
* Develop and implement a Risk Management Framework appropriate for a banking institution
* Propagate risk consciousness across the organisation through effective communication strategies
* Constantly monitor key risks relative to defined risk tolerances
* Report on the state of risk to relevant stakeholders in an accurate and timely manner
* Regularly test the relevance and effectiveness of the Risk Management Framework, ensuring its implementation across all levels of the organisation

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Vice President Risk Manager position brings a wealth of experience from the banking sector, particularly in relation to risk management. You should hold a degree in a business-related field or other relevant discipline such as Finance, Statistics, or Mathematics. With at least 8 years of experience under your belt, you have developed strong skills in creating and implementing effective risk management frameworks. Your excellent communication skills enable you to propagate a culture of risk consciousness throughout an organisation. Furthermore, you are adept at monitoring key risks and reporting on their status to stakeholders.

A degree in a business-related course or other relevant field such as Finance, Statistics, or Mathematics
* At least 10 years of risk management banking experience for both Operational and financial risk
* Strong understanding of risk management principles within the banking sector
* Proven ability to develop and implement effective risk management frameworks
* Excellent communication skills with an ability to propagate risk consciousness across an organisation
* Experience in monitoring key risks and reporting on their status to stakeholders
