Our Risk Management Team is seeking experienced professionals to join us in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in the position of Junior Risk Officer.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the bank's risk, including monitoring risks, preparing reports for committees, and ensuring policy compliance. You will play a key role in developing risk management policies and frameworks, providing training and development for staff, and regularly assessing compliance with regulations. Additionally, you will focus on enhancing customer experience by maintaining high service standards and implementing recognition programs for exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee risk management activities, including monitoring key risks, preparing reports for bank committees, quantitatively and qualitatively estimating risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Develop and review risk management policies and procedures, integrate risk responses into business processes, and maintain tools and policies for effective risk management across the bank.
  • Manage the Risk Model Framework, develop risk models and management tools, ensure the effective implementation of the Risk Management Framework, and periodically test the predictive ability of risk models.
  • Focus on the development of team members through training programs, role-specific development plans, and engaging experts to evaluate the bank's risk management capabilities, while ensuring appropriate systems and technology are in place for effective risk management.
  • Maintain sound risk governance by consistently assessing compliance with regulations and risk controls, actively participating in bank committees, and continually reviewing and adapting to evolving business strategies and external environments.
  • Enhance customer experience by delivering consistent services according to SLAs, implementing recognition programs for outstanding service, and clearly defining service expectations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a college degree in a business-related field or other relevant discipline, preference for Finance (including Accounting), Statistics, or Mathematics.
  • Between 2 to 8 years (depending on the job grade) of pertinent banking experience.
  • Proficiency in data and analytics tools such as Excel, VBA, R, SAS, Python, and Power BI.
  • Experience in building and leading teams, particularly for higher job grades.
  • Skills in coaching and mentoring others, as well as developing team members in more senior roles.
  • Ability to create and execute business and strategic plans effectively.
  • Comfortable interacting with diverse individuals and adept at rapidly acquiring and applying new skills.
  • Proficient in managing multiple functions and operating efficiently under pressure.
  • Experience in overseeing organization-wide processes and presenting to boards of directors and senior leaders in higher job grades.
  • Capable of resolving challenging conflicts and performing effectively in fast-paced environments.
  • For higher-level positions, familiarity with cross-functional projects, handling large projects, and working in or managing within a matrix organization.
