ABOUT THE POSITION

The Logistics Team Leader oversees the quality of the tracking process of the team. The supervisor needs to make sure every step is taken correctly, and full coverage is provided to the operation. The supervisor is also in charge of providing support and follow-up to the team's performance and reporting any issue or novelty to ensure great results.

Responsibilities as follow and not limited to

  • Ensure that all employees start their shifts in a timely manner, and all their tools are working properly.
  • Guarantee all requests and concerns are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Provide reports to the operations and quality departments informing them of any relevant updates or issues presented during the shift.
  • Keep track of overall communications channels, with the team, Covenant and LSG.
  • Constantly follow up with the team to assure that the tasks assigned to them are covered to completion.
  • Delegate work when necessary to the tracking team members to clean up the boards.
  • Assist with the issues presented with the loads and drivers and prevent inconveniences with the loads, ensuring coverage.
  • Identify areas of improvement and establish action plans to fulfill them.
  • Overseethatthe employees arecomplyingwiththeir daily duties and schedules, reporting any issues to the client and LSG management, on time, to ensure the POCs are advised of any absences, outages, or inconveniences.
  • Reports on any technology issues and looks for a solution, escalating when needed.
  • Request disciplinary measures when needed.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Metrics and expectations:

As of now, there are no quantitative measurements or metrics assigned to the position, more than ensure that the staffers reach the metrics and expectations. Nevertheless, the supervisor should comply with the following parameters: (non-numerical expectations)

  • Work on the tasks assigned and complete them before the deadline.
  • Provide email responses in a timely manner (max – 15 minutes for response time to any communication received).
  • Attend all the scheduled meetings with the team.
  • Be available on all the channels of communication, and be attentive to messages, and urgent requests.
