Job Summary

The BB Risk and Compliance Officer supports the Head of BB Risk and Compliance Office in building and implementing risk management culture and risk awareness guided by the programs and objectives of the Risk Management Program of the Bank, and the management and execution of efficient and effective compliance and AML monitoring programs across the Business Banking Segment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinates, reviews, and monitors implementation of the Bank's Risk Management, Compliance and AML Programs, including but not limited to all Compliance and Risk Assessment Documents (e.g. Business Recovery Plan, Compliance Matrix, RCSA, etc.)
  • Proactive identification and monitoring of credit, operational and regulatory compliance risks that could result to the imposition of legal or regulatory sanctions, financial loss, or loss to reputation as a consequence of the failure to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, codes of conduct and standard of good practice.
  • Ensures proper information dissemination on matters concerning the Business Banking Segment, including new policies and regulations, changes in processes, roll-out of risk & compliance-related initiatives, lectures, and trainings as needed.
  • Supports and coordinates with Business Banking units during the conduct of portfolio/product review, internal or external audit, and regulatory examination.
  • Establishes a clear and open communication line between the Business Banking units, oversight units such as Internal Audit, Risk Management Office, and Compliance Office, and the Bank's external auditors and regulators.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or accounting related course
  • Knowledgeable in business banking products and processes, Enterprise Risk Management System Compliance Program Money Laundering/Terrorism and Proliferation Financing Prevention Program Core Policies, Controls and Procedures
