Responsibilities

  • Working through a multiple large-scale cleanup effort and projects related to: a phased merging of thousands of configuration Items from multiple companies into one Configuration Management Database
  • Removing old, broken, or unused code, custom objects, business rules, script includes, reports, and dashboards; setting up integrations; creating service catalog items that run on dynamic, automated workflows; and performing annual release upgrades.
  • You will work closely with the Lead to assist with managing these large-scale efforts, helping to coordinate, assign, and fulfill tasks required to complete the projects.

Mandatory Experience

  • ServiceNow IT Service Management - Professional (ITSM - Pro)
  • Have a strong background in ITSM and expertise in customizing and extending ServiceNow features to meet business requirements
  • Design, develop, and implement solutions within ITSM
  • Support both day-to-day administrative operations and project-level work on ITSM modules, such as Incident Management, Change Management, Service Catalog, etc. Ex: creating/enhancing Service catalog items, especially with automation; creating/updating/deleting reports and dashboards; user/group/role administration, etc.
  • ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB; platform-wide)
    NOTE: client does NOT have the ITOM application, so CMDB here refers to the classic CMDB structure and features included in the ITSM application
  • Develop and maintain the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring data accuracy, relationships, and governance
  • Support both day-to-day administrative operations and custom project-level work in the CMDB and its components Ex: performing cleanup activities needed to keep the CMDB accurate, such as merging duplicative Configuration Item (CI) records from multiple sources and ensuring proper naming schemes are followed
  • ServiceNow Integration Hub - Professional (IHub - Pro) & ServiceNow Flow Designer. Have a strong background in setting up integrations and creating and supporting dynamic workflows in Flow Designer. Expertise creating and supporting automations in Flow Designer using the available IHub spokes

Desired Experience

  • ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management – Standard (IRM – standard) [formerly known as "Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)"] Familiarity with IRM features, processes, and plugins to facilitate activities tied to the CMD, configure/create/document processes to update and keep track of records and reduce amount of manual work on the CMDB
  • ServiceNow upgrades, Managing and executing ServiceNow release version upgrades, Performing post-upgrade testing/validation in Prod and sub-Prod environments, etc.
  • Integrations; Familiarity with supporting/maintaining tools integrated with ServiceNow
  • MID Servers, Familiarity with troubleshooting/setup/upgrading of MID Servers, maintaining 5 MID servers supporting Active Directory
