POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounts Payable Coordinator will work within the centralized Accounts Payable department supporting Descartes' global operations. The successful candidate will assist the organization to ensure timely and accurate processing of worldwide accounts payable from purchase to ultimate payment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will have the following job responsibilities:

  • Enter invoices into SAP for payment.
  • Verify invoices against purchasing information.
  • Assist with month-end closing.
  • Provide support documentation for audits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma with a concentration in accounting or finance.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the field of accounting.
  • Technical aptitude to learn new technologies.
  • Focused attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Additional assets include:

  • Experience with SAP or other similar accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel.
  • Previous accounts payable processing experience.
  • Previous experience working in a multi-currency environment.
