Assist in the planning ,coordination and execution of civil estimating works within the organization. Review and validate cost estimates of staff. Collaborate with project managers, engineers and designers to address cost -related issues and optimize tender proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects, including material, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to understand project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimation.
  • Utilize estimation software and tools to generate precise cost estimates and proposals.
  • Review and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure availability of materials and services.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide cost-related insights and recommendations.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements related to civil construction costs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of cost control measures to optimize project budgets and profitability.
  • Mentor and train junior estimation staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
