In this role, you will be responsible for preparing fortnightly payroll. Additionally, you will lead month-end financial reporting activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow reporting, working capital reporting, financial analysis, and the management of financial presentations. You will also be tasked with processing month-end account entries, encompassing revenue recognition, fixed assets, depreciation, accruals, prepayments, recurring journals, and other related tasks. Salary: PHP 120,000 to 150,000

Take Charge of Financial Fortunes

  • Responsible for preparing fortnightly payroll
  • Leading month-end financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, cashflow reporting, working capital reporting, analysis and management of financial presentations
  • Processing month-end account entries, including revenue recognition, fixed assets, depreciation, accruals, prepayments, recurring journals etc.
  • Maintain the group's consolidation on a consistent monthly basis
  • Support the preparation of year-end financial accounts
  • Preparing reconciliations and communicating with external audits
  • Compliance support for Quarterly BAS, IAS and Payroll Tax and other.
  • Continuously assessing, managing, and improving financial processes
  • Support maintenance of cash flow forecast, and cash in bank, maintaining a healthy level on a weekly basis.
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate and insightful management reports
  • Perform analysis on any data sets, to identify opportunities for Zookal and foresee any potential risks to the group.
  • Consistently Identify and improve processes to drive efficiencies for the broader Zookal team.
  • Other tasks and projects as directed by Management or any other leaders in the company Mentor junior team members to foster their professional development

  • Business degree majoring in Finance/Accounting
  • At least 5 years professional experience as a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager or Head
  • Experience working with multisector, AU-based clients is preferred
  • Experience using accounting software such as Xero or any large ERP systems
  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience leading payroll processes
  • Experience dealing with external auditors
  • Strong Microsoft experience including Excel
  • Proactive, positive and a can-do attitude
  • Strong organisation skills with high attention to detail
  • Analytical problem solving skills with an ability to communicate effectively to a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Technical accounting knowledge and application of corporate governance requirements
