About Our Client

The client is a multinational FMCG company focusing on personal care looking to expand and grow their e-commerce channel. Presently they have Shopee and Lazada and are looking to grow and expand to other e-commerce as well.

Job Description

The Key Responsibilities of the Head of Ecommerce include:

  1. Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement the e-commerce strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals.
    • Identify new market opportunities and trends to drive growth and innovation in the e-commerce space.
  2. Operational Management:
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce platform, ensuring a seamless and efficient customer experience.
    • Manage and lead a cross-functional team including web developers, digital marketers, customer service representatives, and fulfillment personnel.
  3. Digital Marketing:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing campaigns to drive traffic, engagement, and sales.
    • Utilize SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and other digital marketing techniques to enhance online presence and performance.
  4. User Experience and Customer Journey:
    • Optimize the user experience on the e-commerce platform, ensuring a smooth, intuitive, and engaging journey for customers.
    • Implement A/B testing, user feedback, and analytics to continuously improve the website's functionality and performance.
  5. Analytics and Reporting:
    • Monitor and analyze e-commerce metrics and KPIs to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Prepare regular reports on e-commerce activities, performance, and strategy to present to senior management.
  6. Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
    • Build and maintain relationships with third-party vendors, suppliers, and partners.
    • Collaborate with internal teams such as IT, logistics, and marketing to ensure alignment and support for e-commerce initiatives.
  7. Budgeting and Financial Oversight:
    • Develop and manage the e-commerce budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
    • Analyze financial data and sales reports to make informed decisions and drive profitability.
  8. Compliance and Security:
    • Ensure the e-commerce platform adheres to all relevant regulations, including data protection and privacy laws.
    • Implement robust security measures to protect customer data and transaction integrity.

The Successful Applicant

The Head of Ecommerce should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience in e-commerce or digital marketing within the FMCG sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful e-commerce strategies in the personal care or related industry.
  • Deep understanding of web development technologies, digital marketing tools, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
