Training and Development Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develop, and recommends training and developmental programs based on both the organization's and individual needs; Trains employees on the job and recommends further training
  • Reviews and modified existing Training Programs and their effectiveness as necessary, in order to adapt to the changes that occur in the work environment; Conceptualizes, develops and implement branch-level recurrent programs
  • Analyzes results of Training Reports
  • Conducts Training Needs Analysis (TNA) for immediate and long-range plans of Operations and Support groups
  • Prepares Annual Training Plan based on approved Training Budget
  • Administers soft-skills and technical training sessions as well as orientations for Managers, Officers, and Supervisors
  • Trains and supervises the work of Trainers, ensuring high standards at all times
  • Responsible for the overall supervision of Training personnel; Assigns duties to subordinates and approves work schedule and assignments
  • Trains employees on the job and recommends further appropriate training
  • Evaluates performance, recommends promotions, transfer or dismissal
  • Maintains open-line communications and fosters positive attitude towards company goals
  • Counsels, motivates, and maintains high morale among employee; Initiates necessary disciplinary action on erring subordinates
  • Ensures and implements company rules/ regulations and standard operating procedures
  • Acts as Coordinator for centralized programs implementation
  • Performs other related functions that may be assigned by the Human Resource Head from time to time

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in handling Training and Development.
  • Proven work experience as a Training and Development Manager in the retail industry.
  • Strong knowledge of retail operations, sales techniques, and customer service practices.
  • Familiarity with instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and competency-based training.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively train and motivate employees at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess training needs and measure training effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in using learning management systems and other technological tools to deliver training programs.
