The Operations Associate works in a team to ensure smooth inbound and outbound cross border operations. The team manages a warehouse and coordinates and manages vendors and subcontractors.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate and track shipment and parcel movement across all Special Projects operationsEnsure reliability and SLA of solutions and services to ensure we are on target and consistent in service deliveryMonitor and supervise daily manpower and warehouse operations to optimise efficiency of labour usageCoordinate and manage trucking partners and plan efficient delivery routes and fleet management for customs clearance and bulky deliveryIdentify potential issues or issues in its minor stages to avoid major issues developing over timeBe the key stakeholder for specific vendors and provide a clear line of communication between Special Projects team and vendor (required due to language barrier)Responsible for performance of vendor and reliability of servicesResponsible to provide team with weekly and monthly reports for:Cost of Goods Sold invoices and data from vendorsPerformance data (SLA, damage/loss, etc.)Monthly volume data and metricsResponsible to prepare on a weekly and monthly basis:Review and pre-validate bills from vendors for review and approval by Lead and Regional ManagerProvide weekly and monthly raw data on internal revenue charged
 

Minimum Qualifications:

Diploma, Industrial Engineering, Business Management or relevant technical fieldDiploma or degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Management or relevant technical fieldMinimally 1-6 years of relevant working experience in a freight forwarding operations environment and has direct working experience across Air or Sea freightAbility to analyze numerical & cost dataAble to multi-task with different projects at the same time and focus on meeting deadlines Possess strong process mindset, freight forwarding and e-commerce knowledgeWilling to travel 20% of the time
