Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Warehouse Assistant.
What are the Roles and Responsibilities?
The Warehouse Assistant shall:
Perform tasks related to delivery, acceptance, warehousing and releasing of all items needed to support the operations within prescribed systems and standards – including, but not limited to, warehousing & storage, facilities & equipment maintenance, and inventory control & management – and ensure operational compliance based on key performance indicators and key results areas, as aligned with business objectives and business needs;Transact based on established standards, procedures and systems relevant to material, supplies and spare parts receipt, warehousing & releasing; and oversee and/or conduct cleaning, sanitation and maintenance of warehouse facilities tools and equipment including, but not limited to, forklifts, pallets, pallet trucks, and racking systems;Perform purchasing activities, as aligned with procurement procedures; and augment requisition to delivery timelines, as needed by the operations;Ensure implementation of policies and internal memorandum; and align with updates on implemented policies and standards related but not limited to EHS Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), HACCP, HALAL, and FSSC; and as in the case may be, form part of the Internal Audit team and ensure compliance on, established management systems mentioned;Participate in periodic inspection of the warehouses & staging areas, stockrooms, material recovery facility, and pallet cleaning area, and ensure compliance to implemented safety and quality systems & standards, as mentioned; and coordinate with involved department potential non-conformances on warehousing including, but not limited to, storage conditions, ageing and expiring materials and new suppliers; and participate in implementing strategies and action items to address such non-conformances;Monitor proper allotment of material locations, and participate in conduct of cycle counts, ensuring alignment actual and system stocks & inventory; and/orPerform other tasks and functions as may be delegated by the Immediate Superior.
What are the Qualifications?
Licensed Chemist or Chemical Technician is requiredWith or without experience, but experience in food and beverage manufacturing is an advantage;Familiarity on relevant management systems in the food industry, including but not limited to EHS Management Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), HACCP, HALAL and FSSC, is an advantage;With considerably significant communication and administrative skills (proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel); andHas a good team-player, customer-centric and innovative work attitude.
