BASIC FUNCTION
Position Overview
Our company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented accounts payable specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling statements, and managing vendor relationships. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
What you’ll do at Insight
-Perform 3-way matching and ensure timely payment to vendors
-Reconcile statements and resolve any discrepancies with vendors
-Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date and accurate
-Manage vendor relationships and respond to inquiries regarding invoices and payments
-Reviewing and reconciling vendor statements
-Monitoring and managing accounts payable aging
-Maintain accurate records of all invoices, payments, and related transactions
-Assisting and provides information for audit purposes
-Assist with month-end closing and reporting as needed
What you’ll need to join Insight
-A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred
-2+ years of experience in accounts payable or similar role
-Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
-Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
-Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Demonstrate sound work ethics and possess cultural awareness and sensitivity
-Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
