Insurance Navigation Specialist: Charting Clear Paths to Patient Care
Handle precertifications primarily, managing regular calls with commercial insurance companies for approvals and denials.Obtain approvals predominantly for ultrasound, heart angiogram, and other procedures, liaising with carriers such as Blue Cross, Blue Shield, United Health Care.Gather additional patient information for denials to facilitate approval.Schedule hospital procedures like heart angiograms or peripheral angiograms, ensuring pre-certification precedes scheduling.Serve as a liaison between doctors and hospitals to coordinate patient care effectively.Vital Skills Check: Essentials for Excellence
Mid-level experience in a related field.Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and other healthcare software.Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.Can start ASAP.Healthcare Rewards: Covering Your Career Needs and Beyond
